SF State Awards
SF State awards bachelor's degrees in 111 areas, master's in 95, and in fall 2007 will introduce its first independent doctoral program, an Ed.D. The University offers a Ph.D. and Ed.D. in education with a concentration in special education with UC Berkeley. A joint Master of Science in Physical Therapy is offered jointly with University of California, San Francisco, as are two doctorates -- the Doctor of Physical Therapy and Doctor of Physical Therapy Science.
In addition, the University offers 27 credential programs and 34 certificate programs.

Housing and Residential Services offers residential living to more than 2,200 students of all ages and class levels.
First-time freshmen have a choice of four types of living accommodation: Mary Ward and Mary Park halls are traditional residence halls. The Science and Technology Theme Community is reserved for first-year freshmen majoring in the science and engineering fields. The Towers at Centennial Square apartments offer shared one- and two-bedroom apartments in designated Residential Learning Communities. The Village at Centennial Square building C is the Business Learning Community for first year freshmen majoring in business.
Second-year and transfer students are accommodated in shared two- and three-bedroom apartments at The Village at Centennial Square. International students are also accommodated in the Village at Centennial Square International Learning Community.
Junior, senior and graduate students are accommodated in shared townhome apartments at University Park South.
