InvestiGator, the Library's online catalog, is available on-site and remotely. The library provides access to more than 90 CD-ROM and on-line databases, most accessible remotely as well as in the library.

Exists to promote an appreciation of the J. Paul Leonard Library, to strengthen relationships between the University and the community, and to raise funds beyond those available in the regular budget for library services. Through the College of Extended Learning's Open University program, the public can take regular University classes without formal admissi on to SF State. In addition, Extended Learning offers hundreds of classes each year for professional development and personal enrichment. Classes are held at the main campus and at the SF State Downtown Campus, 835 Market St.
Each year, SF State sponsors hundreds of workshops, lectures, conferences, exhibits, debates, forums and other public programs at little or no cost. In addition, thousands attend public performances produced or sponsored by the College of Creative Arts: faculty and student recitals, the renowned Morrison Artists' Series Chamber Music program, the Alexander String Quartet (in residence), contemporary drama and musical productions, dance featuring professional companies and advanced students, and film programs.
